Office * W4
Whilst still working at Peldon Rose Sam Kopsch was involved as the designer on a 212 000 square foot project for a client in Chiswick Business Park. The brief was to break the conventional office style, associated with engineering space, and create an environment to attract and retain a new generation of engineers.
The scale of the building meant that the design would have to be carefully considered to provide a suitable way-finding solution. This was achieved by the allocation of a specific colour to each floor, which was enhanced not only through finish selection, but through the use of large scale, sculptural artwork pieces. The artwork was designed to reflect the business and what they do. Gas molecules, tectonic plates, oil drops and lights, mimicking flares, were installed to cement the concept. Working closely with the team at Acrylicize these ‘sculptures’ were brought to life.
